This unit performs high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with photodiode array (PDA) analysis of cannabis. It provides precision identification and potency/homogeneity measurements of all cannabinoids present in a sample.
This system uses gas chromatography (GC) and mass spectrometry (MS) to identify terpenes and determine trace concentrations of residual solvents in cannabis samples.
Triple Quadrupole LC/MS-MS System
Liquid chromatography (LC) and triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (MS) are utilized to identify and quantify the pesticide and Vitamin E Acetate content of cannabis samples.
Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) is used to identify trace concentrations of heavy metals in cannabis samples.
Microbial Detection utilizing Plate Enumeration and qPCR
A microbiological examination is an important part of a full safety compliance screen. Microbial Plating techniques can be used to isolate, propagate or enumerate microorganisms. Spread Plating is used to quantify microorganisms in a sample, given their ability to give rise to colonies under specific conditions of a nutrient medium, temperature, and time. Can-Lab will be using 3M Total Coliform and 3M Rapid Yeast and Mold plates for the quantification (CFU) of microbial agents regulated by the State of Michigan in cannabis flower and marijuana infused products.
